Under the "One Belt, One Road" initiative strategy, the trade exhibition with the theme of "quality goods" integrated with international resources - Ethiopian China Trade Week was held in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia from May 3rd to May 5th, 2018.
Divine New Energy (Divinergy) was invited to participate in the show with its newly developed solar off-grid lighting system.
Ethiopia is a very important growing off-grid market in the global expansion of Divinergy. There are about 1.5 million rural homes are without electricity access in rural areasof Ethiopia .
For people who lack access to the power grid or cannot afford electricity, solar energy represents an important first step on the energy access ladder. Instead of relying on kerosene, candles, dry cell batteries and other fossil fuel-based sources of power, they can now turn to off-grid solar to light up their homes, watch television and charge mobile phones, thanks to an initiative of the Government of Ethiopia
During the exhibition, Commercial Counselor Ms. Liu wei and Minister of Trade of Ethiopia visited the booth of Divinergy.
"For households at the base of the economic pyramid, off-grid solar can dramatically boost the quality of life,” says the minister, “ We welcome you to bring the advanced product and technology to Ethiopia”
Mr. David Zhong, Deputy general manager of Divinergy, said, “We have high expectation on the prospect of Ethiopia market. A local warehouse has been setup in Kenya which near Ethiopia, which will help to cover the middle and east African market, and bring more convenient service to local distributors and consumers.
Divinergy has its displays in Millennium Pavilion, booth numbers D5, D6 and will showcase some of its latest off-grid lighting solutions which incorporate major breakthroughs in solar and battery technology development.
